"I'll Keep Your Secrets" Trans Siberian Orchestra
I read these words and listen to them being sung and they pierce my heart. To truly be there in that moment where everything you have ever known is cascading to an undeniable and dreaded ending, when all your instincts are screaming to run, either out of fear or denial. But you stand by helpless in that moment, summing the strength it takes just to face the dark and not flee. I have been there in that moment and am scarred by it for the rest of my life. But I have also come out on the other side. To know that I faced my biggest challenge and worst nightmare and passed the ultimate test gives me strength.
Do you have someone who will 'keep your secrets'? That person(s) that will always be around? The above picture entitled "Duo" says that to me, someone who will always be there to the end. I count myself blessed to say I have had two people like this in my life.

These two paintings were both done in watercolors with a wet on wet technique and then dry brush for the details showing a tall sailing ship as it crosses the vast ocean waters in whatever the weather. I see this as a mirror for our lives, the calm with the chaotic, the gentle and the strong. We go forth each day regardless of the weather or circumstances endeavoring to persevere, exploring our world and hopefully making it a little better place. We learn to appreciate the good times so much more when we have stood strong and through the hard times.
