Opening Day and a Baseball Story ...

An ink wash drawing of a baseball player running down a shot to the warning track just in front of the wall.

As opening day of the new baseball season is upon us hopes spring eternal.  Every player is great, every team a champion.  The field is green, the lines crisp and white, the sounds of the crowd and the smells in the air.  What happens inside the white lines is all that matters in this moment and the rest just fades away!

In this image I try to capture your attention
and ask what happens next?

Does he make the catch, whirl and throw to the cutoff man?

Does the ball just sail over his glove and bounce up against the wall?

Or something else entirely, you write the rest of the story...
